Meet the LMK Team: Allison Grosik
At LMK, we acknowledge we could not be successful without our incredible team. This month we interviewed Allison Grosik, one of our dedicated TMF Support Analysts. Allison has been with the team for six months. Allison shares with us what she enjoys about her key role at LMK, her most memorable project, and her retirement plans.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy working remotely in a field I am passionate about. The TMF is an important component to support new drugs for Regulatory Authority approval and I like to know my work is helping create a better future.
If you could choose four individuals, living or dead, to eat dinner with who would you choose?
I would pick Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver aka Kylo Ren/Ben Solo, Alex Trebek, and Bill Murray.
What behavior or personality trait do you most attribute your success to, and why?
I believe my problem-solving skills have led to my success in resolving TMF anomalies.
If you could only have three apps on your smartphone, which would you pick?
Google, YouTube, and OF COURSE Target!
What has been the most memorable project you have worked on at LMK?
I learned so much working on a rare disease study project. Before I left for maternity leave, the TMF director even surprised me with a virtual baby shower!
You can have an unlimited supply of one thing for the rest of your life, what is it? Sushi? Scotch Tape?
Bottled water and yes, I would share!
What would you like to do when you retire?
My retirement plan is to travel to different continents and experience new cultures.
What is something you believed earlier in your career but think about differently now?
Earlier on, I thought working long hours leads to more productivity. Now I believe working smarter, not simply longer, will get the job done.
What parts of your job do you find most challenging?
It can be challenging interpreting regulatory documents in different languages.
What skills or talents are most essential to be effective in your job?
I believe having Clinical Operations experience is critical for TMF success. The TMF is the story of the clinical trial therefore it is important to understand how that clinical trial is run with the various CRO/Sponsor functional areas, vendors, and investigational sites.
Why did you decide to work for LMK?
I first connected with LMK at the USA TMF Summit. A few years later I was offered a remote position. I worked in the office for several years, so I was open to this change. It was one of the best decisions I have made. The remote work allows me to have a better work/life balance while progressing my TMF career. This is especially important to me as a working mom.
